Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living to promote patient dignity
• Take and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility to reduce fall risk
• Support meal assistance and observe intake, reporting any concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Document care accurately and hand off pertinent information to teammates
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable with physical aspects of care (lifting, standing, assisting patients)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled at providing patient-centered personal care and ADL support
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members
• Knowledge of infection control standards and basic safety protocols
• Team player mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
