Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for CT procedures with compassion and clarity
• Ensure patient safety and radiation protection practices are followed at all times
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, competency checklists, and required records
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Complete required infection control, screening, and immunization checks prior to clinical shifts
• Participate in unit-specific competency exams and skills verifications (Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, Prime Specialty Exam)
• Adhere to agency and facility policies including background checks, drug screening, and license verification

Qualifications

• CT (AART) certification (required)
• Certified Radiology/CT Technologist with current license/certificate verification
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
• Valid driver's license with photo ID
• Completion of agency skill checklist and Prime competency exams
• Up-to-date immunizations and screening records (COVID-19, TB, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Tdap)
• Successful background check and 10-panel drug screen
• Comfort working night shifts and independently managing procedural workflow

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Proven radiology workflow and patient positioning skills
• Familiarity with infection control, radiation safety, and PPE fit-testing
• Ability to complete and pass Prime Core Competencies and specialty exams
• Good communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping habits
• Adaptability to fast-paced hospital environments, especially during night shifts
