Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric and med/surg patients
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans in a clear, empathetic way
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records
• Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement initiatives on the unit

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in Missouri (or compact RN with ability to practice in MO)
• Experience in med/surg settings and pediatric care preferred
• Current BLS required; PALS and ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple patients safely during 12+ hour shifts
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks and screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment skills and med/surg clinical judgment
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond in fast-paced clinical situations
• Basic EHR navigation and documentation skills
