Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care on a Med/Surg unit with professionalism and compassion
• Assess patient status, interpret clinical data, and implement care plans to achieve positive outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while adhering to facility policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate seamless patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures and self-care to promote recovery
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly and timely in the medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute practical clinical insights

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (RN) required; Hawaii licensure or ability to obtain is preferred
• Minimum clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and patient advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; comfortable in a fast-paced hospital environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy and wound care
• Proficient documentation and charting with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and manage time effectively
• Familiarity with safety protocols, infection control and patient education techniques
