Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour ICU shifts; exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed by facility (RN - ICU)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Continuously assess, monitor and document patient status and response to treatment
Administer medications and manage advanced life support equipment following protocols
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and care plans with clarity and empathy
Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and safety practices

Qualifications

Active RN license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain licensure
Experience working in an ICU setting (critical care experience preferred)
Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required by facility
Strong assessment, prioritization and critical thinking skills in high-acuity environments
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented unit

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and advanced monitoring
Ventilator management and respiratory support collaboration
Medication administration and titration in critical care
Electronic health record (EHR) documentation and care coordination
Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
