Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide rapid, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in the ED/ER
• Perform focused assessments, prioritize emergent needs, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications, start and manage IV therapy, and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and the care team to coordinate timely treatment plans
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up care
• Respond to codes and critical events with calm, competent action

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible or active in New Hampshire preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Previous emergency department (ED/ER) experience preferred, but motivated new grads with strong ER training are welcome to apply
• Current CPR certification and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
• Reliable clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in emergency assessment, triage and rapid decision-making
• Proficient with IV starts, medication administration and monitoring
• Familiarity with trauma protocols and acute care pathways
• Strong documentation skills in EHR systems and accurate charting
• Excellent teamwork, communication and patient-family education abilities
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients while maintaining safety
