Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the emergency department
Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the health record
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care to promote recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana (required)
Experience or strong interest in Emergency Department/ED/ER nursing
BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and triage skills
Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings

Education

Active RN license (required)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing assessment and triage principles
Acute care interventions and medication administration
Stabilization of critically ill or injured patients
Familiarity with EHR documentation and clinical workflows
IV therapy, ECG interpretation, and basic respiratory support
Calm decision-making under pressure and strong teamwork
