Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED
• Triage, assess, and prioritize patients quickly and accurately
• Stabilize critical patients and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care thoroughly
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families during stressful moments
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (ability to hold or obtain RN license in Hawaii)
• Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work independently in critical situations, and excellent teamwork skills
• Current immunizations and background checks per facility requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills with rapid decision making
• Familiarity with common ED procedures and equipment
• Clear communication and de-escalation skills with patients and families
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
