Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with attention to image quality and patient safety
Operate radiography equipment following established protocols and radiation safety practices
Position patients appropriately and provide compassionate patient care and clear instructions
Collaborate with technologists, nurses, and clinicians to ensure effective workflow and timely results
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system
Adhere to infection control and equipment maintenance procedures to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or equivalent
State Radiologic Technologist license for Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required as determined by facility
Comfortable operating standard radiography equipment and digital imaging systems
Excellent communication and patient care skills with a professional bedside manner
Previous clinical experience as a radiologic technologist preferred

Education

Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiography, or related field (or equivalent clinical training)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
Familiarity with PACS and digital imaging workflows
Understanding of radiation safety principles and dose minimization
Ability to follow protocols and work effectively in a high-paced clinical setting
Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices
