Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging exams, including trauma and stroke protocols, to support rapid diagnosis and patient care
• Operate and optimize GE, Apex 128 and Revo 64-slice CT scanners for a range of adult and pediatric exams
• Document exams accurately and timely in Meditech, ensuring complete patient records
• Collaborate with radiologists, ED teams, and nursing staff to prioritize emergent studies and improve patient outcomes
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards to protect patients and staff
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to calm and inform patients during procedures
• Troubleshoot basic scanner and workflow issues and escalate technical problems when needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance imaging protocols and departmental performance

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in radiology/CT (job lists 2 years experience)
• At least 1 year of CT Trauma experience (required)
• At least 1 year of CT Stroke experience (required)
• BCLS certification required
• Pediatric CT experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech and the listed CT platforms (GE, Apex 128, Revo 64 slice)

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT (CT) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy
• Trauma and stroke CT protocols and rapid imaging workflows
• Pediatric imaging considerations and dose optimization
• Proficiency with GE CT scanners, Apex 128 and Revo 64-slice systems
• Clinical documentation in Meditech
• Strong patient communication and emergency response awareness
• Radiation safety principles and quality image acquisition
