Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and effective use of assistive devices
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Document care and observations thoroughly and promptly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver resident-centered care
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active Connecticut CNA license or eligible to obtain state registration
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
Demonstrated ability to provide safe resident care and follow care plans
Pass background check and required health screenings as per facility policy
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of basic nursing and personal care tasks
Infection control and safe hygiene practices
Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Clear documentation and charting skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Teamwork, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
