Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Monitor, record, and report vital signs and any changes in patient condition
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to promote independence
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Support resident dignity, privacy, and emotional wellbeing through attentive care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut
Completion of an approved CNA training program
CPR/BLS certification required or must be obtained upon hire
Ability to pass background check and required immunizations
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Infection control practices and proper PPE use
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
Reliable time management and ability to prioritize tasks
