Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and med/surg patients
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to maintain standards of care

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Washington)
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and/or Pediatrics preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; specialty certifications (PALS, ACLS) a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Comfort working with pediatric patients and their families

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med/surg and pediatric nursing principles
• Proficient in medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, IV therapy, and basic procedures
• Good time management, prioritization, and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation preferred
