Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with compassion and dignity
Measure and record vital signs accurately and timely
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain clean, comfortable patient environments and follow infection control practices
Document care and communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team
Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, empathetic care
Collaborate with nurses and allied staff to ensure seamless, patient-centered care

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (and ability to work in Pennsylvania)
Current CPR/BLS preferred or willing to obtain
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
Comfortable standing and moving for shift duration; ability to assist with patient transfers
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED
Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and comfort measures
Accurate vital sign collection and charting
Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
Familiarity with electronic charting/EMR systems is helpful
