Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist patients with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and toileting with safety and dignity
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to deliver coordinated care
Be an active, positive presence for patients and families during their stay

Qualifications

Active CNA certification valid in Georgia (or ability to obtain state certification)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Aide training program
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain as required
Comfortable working 12+ hour shifts and standing for extended periods
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
State-approved CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and ADLs
Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
Ability to observe, record, and report patient status changes
Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
Good time management and teamwork skills
Compassion, patience, and a calm bedside manner
