Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents and patients
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
Monitor patient condition, escalate concerns promptly, and support clinical decision-making
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control standards
Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and wellness strategies

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Connecticut or ability to obtain one
Clinical nursing experience in acute care, long-term care, or a related setting preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
Medication administration and documentation
Electronic health record charting and accurate documentation practices
Infection control and safety protocols
Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
Effective patient and family education techniques
