Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on a Med/Surgical unit with compassion and clinical skill
• Assess patients, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility policies and best practices
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Provide education and support to patients and families to promote recovery and self-care
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications such as ACLS encouraged
• Clinical experience on Med/Surg units strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to handle a fast-paced unit and prioritize multiple patients safely

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV management experience
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to triage and escalate care appropriately
• Patient and family education skills with a focus on clear, compassionate communication
