Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs including height and weight
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure patients are ready for provider visits
• Record patient histories, medications, and allergy information in EPIC
• Review and flag lab tests for provider follow-up
• Handle telephone triage, follow-up calls, and pharmacy refill requests
• Manage authorization forms and other office duties efficiently
• Perform point-of-care testing such as blood glucose via glucometer as needed
• Float within the clinic as needed, applying your MA skillset across tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (adult outpatient setting required)
• Endocrinology clinic experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with EPIC charting preferred
• BLS and CMA certifications preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinic and handling ~45 visits/day across multiple rooms
• Open to candidates interested in a temp-to-hire opportunity

Education

• No specific degree required; high school diploma or equivalent typically expected
• Certifications such as CMA and BLS are preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
• Skilled at obtaining and documenting vital signs and patient histories
• Experience with lab test review and point-of-care glucose testing
• Strong phone skills for triage and refill coordination
• Ability to prepare exam rooms and support clinical workflow
• Detail-oriented with authorization form and administrative task experience
