Roles & Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, crafting personalized plans of care that truly make a difference
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to deliver impactful clinical interventions
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and celebrate outcomes that change lives
• Provide expert consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams to overcome barriers and optimize treatment plans
• Document comprehensively and participate in vital meetings to elevate patient care
• Supervise and mentor emerging Speech-Language Pathologists with enthusiasm and guidance

Qualifications

• Active Missouri State License - required and compact allowed
• CCC certification as SLP - required
• 1 year of SLP experience required, with new grads welcome if they have solid Level II fieldwork
• LTC or SNF experience to hit the ground running

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, with CCC certification

Knowledge & Skills

• ASHA adherence and state practice standards
• Expertise in standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and regulatory compliance
• Ability to supervise CFY or student SLPs
