Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on therapy sessions that empower patients to regain independence and joy in daily activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans that make real differences
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapies to celebrate every milestone
- Educate patients and families on techniques that promote long-term success and confidence
- Maintain detailed records to ensure seamless care and outstanding outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
- Current state licensure for Maryland
- BLS certification preferred
- Enthusiasm for helping patients achieve meaningful life improvements
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent patient communication and empathy skills
- Ability to adapt treatments to individual needs
- Proficiency in documentation and care planning
