Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform quality control on nuclear medicine equipment, troubleshooting to keep everything running smoothly
• Collaborate with physicians to select the perfect procedures for optimal patient outcomes
• Document all lab operations, radioactive materials, and patient records with precision
• Identify process improvements and customer satisfaction boosters, then implement them with enthusiasm
• Provide hands-on clinical instruction to radiology students and residents
• Stay ahead of nuclear medicine trends through seminars, journals, and professional networks, sharing knowledge with your team
• Foster positive relationships across departments for seamless collaboration and efficient information flow

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from Texas Medical Board
• Current ARRT with Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT certification
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Siemens and Spectrum Imaging experience highly preferred
• Previous Parkland employment history disclosure if applicable

Education

• Working knowledge of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biomedical sciences related to nuclear medicine

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough grasp of nuclear medicine technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biomedical sciences
• Administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start IV lines confidently
• Operate Gamma cameras including SPECT/CT and PET/CT, nuclear medicine computers, and Cardiac Stress equipment
• Knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments and EKG for cardiac studies
