Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a Medical/Surgical unit
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective care
Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in clinical condition
Document clinical care thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligible for state licensure
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and other certifications preferred
Clinical experience or strong interest in Medical/Surgical nursing
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
IV therapy, medication administration and post-op care experience
Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
Team-oriented approach and effective communication with patients and staff
