Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room and provide high-quality perioperative patient care across multiple service lines
• Prepare the OR and equipment for a variety of cases including urology, vascular, orthopedics, pain management, spine, eyes, and plastics
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure infection control standards are met for every procedure
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative team members to facilitate efficient, safe surgeries
• Monitor patient status and intervene appropriately using ACLS, BLS, and PALS skills when necessary
• Document perioperative care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly to the team
• Troubleshoot intraoperative issues and adapt to variable start/stop case schedules

Qualifications

• Peri-Op 101 Certification (required)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Demonstrated independence in Urology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Pain management, Spine, Eyes, and Plastics service lines
• Comfort working variable start/stop times during weekday operating hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles and best practices
• OR circulation workflows and sterile technique
• Familiarity with procedures in urology, vascular, orthopedics, spine, eyes, plastics, and pain management
• Strong team communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in perioperative documentation and handoffs
• Ability to respond to intraoperative changes and patient needs calmly and effectively
