Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with interventional radiology procedures using sterile technique and best practices
• Prepare and operate imaging equipment and devices safely and efficiently during procedures
• Scrub and assist the physician in IR cases, anticipating needs to keep procedures smooth
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in Epic charting system
• Provide patient-focused care including pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality, timely patient care
• Respond to call and weekend coverage needs as scheduled and make up mandated callouts per department policy

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required
• Interventional Radiology experience required (posting indicates 2 years of IR experience)
• Comfortable working day shifts with required weekends and on-call coverage
• Experience charting in Epic preferred or the ability to learn quickly
• Must comply with facility immunization policy (flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed; COVID-19 vaccine not required)
• Pending licenses are not accepted; active, valid licensure required
• Locals within a 50-mile radius of the main campus are not accepted per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and imaging techniques
• Proficient in sterile technique and procedural room setup
• Familiarity with Epic charting and electronic medical records
• Radiation safety awareness and proper use of shielding and monitoring
• Ability to scrub, pass instruments, and anticipate procedural needs
• Excellent patient communication and monitoring skills
