Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 04-04-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts, schedule to be confirmed (exact start/end times and days TBD)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff — your observations matter
Support activities of daily living and engage residents in friendly, meaningful interactions
Document care accurately and timely in resident records to keep the care team aligned
Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (must be valid for Pennsylvania) — essential
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements (immunizations, TB screening)
Compassionate bedside manner, solid communication skills, and team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and ADL support
Basic understanding of infection control and safety procedures
Strong observation skills and ability to communicate changes clearly
Reliable documentation practices and attention to detail
Team collaboration and respectful resident-centered care
