Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients to support daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
• Document care activities accurately in the patient chart or EMR
• Help maintain a safe, clean environment and support infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and families to coordinate care
• Support resident comfort and emotional needs with kindness and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification and active registry (Pennsylvania preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Current TB test and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Background check and drug screening clearance
• Reliable, compassionate demeanor and strong teamwork skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Able to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with basic infection control practices
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Comfortable assisting with safe patient transfers and mobility
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
