Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, accurate radiation therapy treatments using IMRT, SRS and other advanced techniques
• Perform CT simulation and setup for a range of treatment sites with attention to patient comfort
• Operate and image with CBCT/kV/mV systems to ensure precise treatment delivery
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and verify treatments using ARIA/Varian systems
• Provide compassionate adult outpatient patient care, educating patients and addressing concerns
• Maintain radiation safety practices and accurate treatment documentation in Epic
• Participate in pretreatment workflows and beam modifying/positioning to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Radiation Therapist license required — must have license in hand
• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience
• Experience charting in Epic required
• Familiarity with CT Simulation and simulation of treatment sites (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with treatment units such as TrueBeam and Varian 21 Ex/IX and record & verify systems (Varis/ARIA)
• Practical knowledge of IMRT, SRS, CBCT/kV/mV imaging and respiratory gating
• Demonstrated commitment to radiation safety and adult outpatient care

• IMRT and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) techniques
• Treatment planning verification using ARIA/Varis
• Operation of TrueBeam, Varian 21 Ex/IX and GE systems
• Radiation safety principles and billing knowledge for treatment types/devices
• Patient-focused adult outpatient care and pretreatment processes
