Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal status using GE fetal monitoring and interpret IFM tracings to guide care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings to the care team
• Safely manage IV therapy and medication administration using Baxter IV pumps
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive birth outcomes
• Document care accurately in the EMR (CPN, Meditech) and ensure smooth handoffs
• Respond promptly to emergent situations and apply ACLS/BLS/NRP protocols when necessary
• Support and educate patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state of practice) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, IFM
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (L&D experience preferred)
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring, Baxter IV pumps, and EMR systems (CPN, Meditech) is a plus
• Outgoing, confident, and team-oriented personality with excellent communication skills
• Able to float to L&D and postpartum as needed

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fetal monitoring and interpretation (IFM/GE fetal monitors)
• Baxter IV pump operation and IV medication administration
• Strong patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Experience with CPN and Meditech electronic medical records
• Labor & Delivery clinical workflows and postpartum care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and prioritize care
