Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit during night shifts
• Continuously monitor telemetry and respond promptly to rhythm changes and alarms
• Administer medications, perform treatments and document care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient-centered plans
• Safely float between like units within scope to meet facility needs when required
• Support continuity of care during shift changes and handoffs, ensuring clear communication

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state licensure required; pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Comfortable with Epic charting and working in a Level III Trauma/teaching hospital environment
• Willingness to work night shifts and meet weekend scheduling requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Experience with Epic electronic health record charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients safely at typical Med/Surg Tele ratios
