Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3x12 schedule. Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Schedule rotates and is assessed every 4-week scheduling period; weekends are variable based on unit needs.

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the oncology care continuum
• Administer and monitor antineoplastic chemotherapy safely and per protocol
• Continuously monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias, initiating appropriate interventions
• Manage IV therapy and ports including central line blood draws and blood product administration
• Perform tracheostomy care and support respiratory needs when required
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions to keep patients and staff safe
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including pharmacy, PT/OT, social services, and rapid response teams

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• 2 years of nursing experience (must meet within the 3 most recent years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass)
• Telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring experience (required)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• ONS Chemo certification preferred
• IV therapy and phlebotomy experience preferred
• Comfort floating to other MedSurg Oncology units; previous travel experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Oncology nursing principles and antineoplastic chemotherapy administration
• Telemetry/Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia identification/management
• IV therapy, port management, and central line blood draws
• Tracheostomy care and basic respiratory support skills
• Isolation precautions and appropriate PPE use
• Proficient EPIC documentation and electronic charting
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and GE B450 telemetry monitors
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
