Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility support to maintain dignity and independence
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate care updates clearly
• Support infection control practices and keep resident environments clean and safe
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Offer emotional support and engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — must meet Pennsylvania state requirements
• Demonstrated patient-centered care experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic clinical skills including vitals and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with electronic or paper documentation and charting
• Infection control and standard precautions knowledge
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
