Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and respectful environment for patients
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the patient chart
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver excellent patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in California (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and any facility-specific screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed Certified Nursing Assistant program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, patient positioning
• Infection control practices and standard precautions
• Familiarity with electronic charting or clear written documentation
• Strong observation skills and reliable reporting to nursing staff
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a calm approach during busy shifts
