Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the medical record
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical changes, escalating when necessary
• Maintain accurate and timely charting and handoff communication at shift change

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license valid in California
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred where applicable
• Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert and engaged during clinical care
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork orientation
• Minimum experience as an RN is welcome but specific years not required for per diem roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting accurately
• Proven ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with acute care protocols, safety practices, and infection control
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team
