Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, direct patient care to meet daily living needs
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting with dignity
• Monitor and document patient status changes and report concerns promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Collaborate with the nursing team to follow care plans and promote positive outcomes
• Communicate kindly and clearly with patients and families to build trust

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of California (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior experience as a CNA or in direct patient care is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Good observational skills and the ability to spot changes in patient condition
• Team player mindset and professional communication with staff and families
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
