Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and mobility support
• Obtain and document vital signs accurately and promptly to support timely clinical decisions
• Perform IV removal safely and according to protocol, protecting patient comfort
• Chart patient care clearly and efficiently in EPIC to maintain continuity of care
• Float to Med Tele, PCU or ICU as needed and deliver high-quality care across settings
• Collaborate with nurses and charge staff to maintain safe ratios and respond to changing patient needs
• Support post-op and medical patients (total joints, cardiac rule-out, PNA, psych, general surgery) with diligence and empathy
• Follow BLS standards and facility protocols to ensure patient and team safety

Qualifications

• Current Washington CNA license required at time of submittal
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CNA experience preferred
• Demonstrated skill with vitals, patient bathing, and ADLs
• Comfortable performing IV removals and working on telemetry-scope units
• Willingness to float across Region II facilities (St. Clare, St. Joseph, St. Elizabeth)
• Ability to work nights, every-other-weekend rotation, and rotate holidays as needed

Education

• CNA certification (state-approved)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in taking and reporting vital signs
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and MedSurg acuity
• Knowledge of PCU and ICU workflows and patient needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced acute care
• Ability to follow nurse and charge supervisor direction and escalation protocols
