Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing to acutely and critically ill patients in the ICU
• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuous intensive monitoring
• Initiate and manage life-saving interventions in high-acuity situations
• Collaborate with surgical teams to support OR-to-ICU transitions and postoperative care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families about care plans and support clinical decision-making
• Adhere to ACLS, BLS, and TNCC protocols and maintain required competencies

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• AHA BLS required
• AHA ACLS and TNCC required for GSR ICU-CCU
• PALS preferred
• Previous ICU experience preferred
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (CAP requirement)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (verification required due to CAP)
• Nursing education sufficient to hold RN licensure in Oregon

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and advanced patient assessment
• Intensive monitoring and interventions for high-acuity patients
• Experience working in ICU and familiarity with OR patient transitions
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work rotating weekends and manage extended day shifts
