Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instrumentation with precision
• Assist surgeons during a variety of cases—primarily orthopedics and podiatry, plus general, GYN, robotics and spine
• Operate and support robotics and specialty OR equipment when applicable
• Coordinate with anesthesia, IV team, RT and pharmacy to ensure seamless perioperative care
• Chart accurately in EPIC and support clinical profile reviews for quality patient care
• Participate in call rotations and respond within the required 30-minute timeframe

Qualifications

• WA license required at time of submittal
• BLS certification required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) and NBSTSA certification preferred
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum ~2 years OR / orthopedic surgical tech experience preferred
• Experience or willingness to learn robotics is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care operating room with multiple suites

Education

• Surgical Technology certificate or diploma required (CST preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room workflows
• Familiarity with EPIC for perioperative documentation
• Ability to scrub and circulate in OR settings (scrubbing required for RNs; CSTs will scrub)
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and a positive, flexible attitude
• Comfort with call responsibilities and responding promptly
• Ability to handle ~15-case days and adapt to add-ons
