Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that help clinicians make accurate decisions
• Position and prepare patients with care and clear communication to ensure their safety and comfort
• Maintain image and patient records in PACS and other imaging systems accurately and promptly
• Follow radiation safety protocols and quality control procedures to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and other team members to prioritize cases and support patient throughput
• Respond to on-call assignments professionally and efficiently as part of the alternating call schedule

Qualifications

• Current state radiologic technologist license or the ability to obtain licensure in Montana
• Demonstrated competency in CT and X-ray imaging (experience operating CT scanners and general radiography required)
• ARRT certification preferred or ARRT-eligible candidates considered
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
• Strong patient care skills, clear communication, and ability to work independently during shift and on-call periods

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or equivalent education/clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Solid skills in general radiography and patient positioning
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM and imaging documentation
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and quality assurance checks
• Ability to troubleshoot basic scanner issues and coordinate with service/biomed teams
