Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate patient care
• Perform routine and emergency imaging procedures including general radiography, portable and surgical radiography, and computed tomography
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear explanations to calm and guide patients during procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, surgeons, and the care team to ensure timely imaging and reporting
• Maintain accurate records, image documentation, and follow departmental protocols for image acquisition
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
• Support a safe, efficient radiology environment by assisting with clerical tasks and workflow as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology
• ARRT CT certification required
• Registered with the State Bureau of Radiologic Health in Iowa (state radiologic registration required)
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently on night shift

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) operation and protocols
• X-ray (XR) and general radiography techniques
• Portable and surgical radiography experience
• Image acquisition best practices and quality control
• Patient positioning and compassionate patient care
• Familiarity with radiologic equipment operation and safety procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

This is a travel contract in Decorah, a charming northeast Iowa town in the Driftless Area.
