Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams for inpatient and ER patients, including routine CTs, CTA with perfusion, and trauma imaging
• Operate and maintain GE CT scanners (Philips experience preferred) and associated Medrad injectors
• Administer contrast safely and follow institutional protocols for contrast administration
• Accurately document exams and chart in Cerner and maintain images in PACS/DR systems
• Provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment and assist colleagues when volumes surge
• Collaborate with the charge nurse/CT supervisor and interdisciplinary teams to prioritize emergent cases
• Maintain infection control, safety standards, and equipment checks to ensure uninterrupted patient care
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training to support continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• MRTBE, CRT, CTCT certifications listed as required/acceptable credentials
• Minimum ~2 years CT experience (GE scanner experience required; Philips preferred)
• Experience with Medrad injector systems and Cerner/PACS charting
• Comfort working nights and in fast-paced inpatient/ER settings
• Ability to complete required orientation (at least 12 hours and 1 week 1:1 floor orientation)

Education

• ARRT (R)(CT) certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (Associate degree preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, trauma imaging, and CTA with perfusion
• Proficiency with GE CT scanners; familiarity with Philips ICT is a plus
• Skilled in contrast administration and patient safety practices
• Experience using Cerner EMR and PACS/DR imaging systems
• Ability to troubleshoot common scanner and injector issues and escalate as needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a high-volume acute care setting
