Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the perioperative environment as the OR Circulator to ensure patient safety
• Prepare the operating room and surgical supplies, ensuring sterility and availability of equipment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the surgical team to facilitate smooth procedures
• Advocate for patients by monitoring comfort, safety, and infection control throughout perioperative care
• Document intraoperative events, counts, and patient status thoroughly and accurately
• Assist with room turnover and ensure readiness for the next case

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (current)
• TB clearance completed within the last 12 months
• Prior experience as an OR Circulator (role-specific experience preferred)
• Ability to work Monday–Friday day shifts and participate in shared call as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of OR procedures, sterile technique, and infection prevention
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and intraoperative workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments
• Patient advocacy and perioperative documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage operating room logistics efficiently
