Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide skilled speech-language pathology services to residents in a skilled nursing facility
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for communication and swallowing disorders
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy colleagues, and family to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document progress and maintain timely, compliant clinical records
• Meet productivity expectations while maintaining high standards of clinical care
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive therapy culture at the facility

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in the state of New Mexico
• 1-3 years of SLP experience (per job posting: 1-3 years)
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred
• Comfortable following company policies and productivity expectations (90% productivity requirement noted)
• Willingness to adhere to facility dress code (black scrubs) and be onsite to receive guaranteed hours

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (typical requirement for SLP roles)

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and treatment of adult/geriatric speech, language and swallowing disorders
• Dysphagia management and safe swallowing strategies
• Strong clinical documentation and charting skills
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
• Good time management to balance caseload and productivity targets
