Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside nursing care to assigned patients
• Administer medications and document administration accurately and timely
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and clinical changes
• Perform basic wound care and other routine nursing procedures within LPN scope
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to coordinate patient care
• Maintain clear, professional charting and handoffs to ensure continuity
• Educate and support patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Follow infection control policies and facility protocols to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing (licensed in New Mexico or eligible to obtain)
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing or vocational nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour night shifts and handling overnight clinical responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Local candidates only as this is a local contract opportunity

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN/VN) program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and accurate documentation
• Proficient with patient assessments and monitoring vital signs
• Experience with basic wound care and daily nursing procedures
• Good charting practices and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
