Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and psychological evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that drive measurable progress
• Provide individual, group, and crisis intervention services with compassion and clinical skill
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Participate in case conferences, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives
• Adhere to safety protocols and facility policies while delivering trauma-informed care

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist in California (PSY licensure) preferred
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) candidates are encouraged to apply; facility also accepts LPCC and LMFT credentials
• Experience or interest in working in correctional/forensic or high-acuity mental health settings is a strong plus
• Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; professional demeanor appropriate for a secure facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy approaches
• Skill in risk assessment and crisis management
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Cultural competence and trauma-informed care principles
