Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents at Belen Meadows Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor and document patient vitals, changes in condition, and care provided
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Educate residents and families about care plans and ongoing needs
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Participate in shift handoffs and communicate concerns clearly to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered LPN license (New Mexico) — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable administering medications and performing routine nursing procedures
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN certificate or diploma)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and pressure injury prevention
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Electronic charting / EMR familiarity
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
