Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care assisting residents with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and promptly in the resident chart or EMR
- Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team to support resident well-being
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (NH or VT) — must be current
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and providing hands-on resident care
- Able to pass background checks, TB screening, and required immunizations
- Reliable, compassionate, and a strong team player with good communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care and promoting resident dignity
- Knowledge of basic vital signs and how to report changes
- Familiarity with infection prevention and resident safety practices
- Comfortable with documentation and basic electronic charting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced care setting
