Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans
• Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to adult populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure safety
• Document clinical encounters clearly and timely in accordance with facility policy
• Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessment when situations arise
• Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, and training to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid Psychologist license (PSYL) orLicensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), LMFT, or LCSW — all considered
• Authorized to provide clinical services in California
• Comfortable working within a correctional facility setting (Mule Creek State Prison)
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and facility clearances

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in mental health assessment and diagnosis
• Skilled in individual and group therapy modalities
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Solid documentation and case management practices
• Ability to collaborate with custody and healthcare teams
