Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients as a licensed practical nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document patient responses
• Collaborate closely with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly and professionally
• Support patients and families with education, emotional support, and clear communication
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards
• Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care across the care team

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (required)
• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and covering alternating weekends (local-only)
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and compassionate bedside manner
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care preferred but not required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Patient assessment and ability to identify changes in condition
• Infection control standards and proper use of PPE
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and care teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems
