Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients’ functional mobility and develop individualized PT plans
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore movement and reduce pain
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Document progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Use clinical reasoning to modify treatment plans based on patient response
• Assist in discharge planning and provide recommendations for ongoing care

Qualifications

• Current or compact-eligible Physical Therapist license for California (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Travel assignment experience or flexibility to work a 14-week contract is a plus

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and balance interventions
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Able to perform patient transfers, mobility training, and use of assistive devices safely
• Knowledge of outcome measures and discharge planning best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
