Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the emergency department
Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages
Initiate and manage emergency interventions, staying calm under pressure
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
Document patient status and interventions clearly and timely
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and next steps
Advocate for patient safety and continuous improvement in ED workflows

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligible for licensure
Emergency Department clinical experience preferred
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage assessment and emergency nursing best practices
Cardiac monitoring, IV insertion, medication administration
Rapid assessment and stabilization of acute and critical conditions
Electronic medical record documentation and clinical reporting
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound clinical decisions
